Karashimaki Pickle-making and Sake Taste-testing Experience

Take part in a hands-on experience making karashimaki, a unique type of pickle with a spiciness that becomes addictive, while taste-testing sake!

Participants can try making karashimaki pickles while taste-testing sake.Karashimaki is a regional specialty food. These rustic pickles are made by soaking dried daikon radish in dashi broth, which are then stuffed with karashi mustard and rolled up. They make the perfect accompaniment to sake.

Try comparing three kinds of sake ordered from breweries along the Hokkokukaido road and see if you can match each type of sake to the correct label.
