Oguni Washi Papermaking Workshop
Try making washi paper in the snow country of Oguni-machi in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture where handmade paper has been produced for over 300 years!
・Workshop: Participants make 29 x 39 cm Oguni washi paper by hand in Oguni-machi, Nagaoka where papermaking techniques have been passed down through the ages. We begin with an explanation of the manufacturing process. You will make your own original sheet of paper with maple leaves or designs on colored paper. Through the papermaking process we think you'll come to know the joy of washi.
・After your paper has finished drying the following day we will send it to you by mail. If you have one batch of paper sent to the same address, we will cover the cost of shipping. A shipping cost of ¥200 will be charged per batch from the second destination.
