Since its establishment in 1830, Asahi Shuzo has continued to brew sake while taking advantage of the rich natural environment of Koshiji Town. Limpid water and high-quality rice are the very lifeblood of delicious sake. Under the slogan "sake brewing starts with rice cultivation," they brew sake in a state-of-the-art facility while utilizing traditional techniques that have been handed down from generation to generation, with a particularly fervent focus on procuring the best sake rice. They will guide you through the brewery with stories about the history and their commitment to sake brewing during the brewery tour. They are currently offering a 20-minute tour of the entrance hall. In addition, you can enjoy shopping for souvenirs and sake tasting at the "Sara no Sato Asahiyama" shop located in front of the brewery and enjoy the local cuisine at the "Asahiyama Hotaruan" restaurant.
