Ginzan Onsen in Yamagata Prefecture exudes a nostalgic atmosphere, being lined with wooden buildings from the Taisho and early Showa eras. The popularity of hot-spring resorts increases every year, especially in winter when the snow-covered scenery can be enjoyed and reservations at ryokan are difficult to obtain and access remains difficult due to heavy snowfall.
From that came "Ginzan Onsen Twilight Trip," a night tour by direct bus from nearby Tendo Onsen to Ginzan Onsen and back♪ You can take a bus to Ginzan Onsen around sunset, when the snow-covered scenery is at its most beautiful, and take as many pictures as you like and go for a walk.

After practicing how to walk with snowshoes under the guidance of professional staff, we set out into the deep black highlands with our headlights on♪ When you look up, the crisp winter sky is filled with twinkling stars! If the sky is clear, you can see first magnitude stars such as Sirius and Rigel, and winter constellations such as Orion and Taurus.
