Limited-Time Views! Explore the Submerged Forest of Lake Shirakawa By Canoe
A miraculous scenery only visible for two months in spring! In Lake Shirakawa (located in Iide Town, southern Yamagata Prefecture), snowmelt water flows into the lake, causing the water level to rise and creating a submerged forest where trees along the lakeside are partially submerged!
During the period when this submerged forest appears, we offer canoe tours that allow you to enjoy a stroll on the lake amidst the mystical scenery.
Under the clear water, the roots of the swaying trees can be seen, and if you look up, you'll witness the contrast between the lush greenery of the trees and the sky. By canoeing, you can enjoy the stunning and mysterious beauty of the scenery☆
