Travel back in time to the Edo period! Stroll around Ouchi-juku, where the scenery of 300 years ago still remains, in the kimono you have always longed to wear.
Let's put on a kimono and stroll through the streets, which were used as a stopover during the Edo period (1603-1867) and still retain their original form.Visitors can enjoy tasting pickles and sake at the souvenir shops lining the street while selecting souvenirs.For lunch, enjoy soba noodles with leeks, a specialty of Ouchi-juku. At the end of the day, we will take in the panoramic view of Ouchi-juku, take pictures and visit a shrine.Visitors can learn about life in the Edo period with a guide's commentary. There are not many opportunities to wear kimono in Japan.We invite you to experience a time slip back in time while enjoying the magnificent nature and historical atmosphere! Ouchi-juku is one of the few remaining Edo townscapes in Japan that is still scenic!The buildings have thatched roofs, and the view of the city is like stepping back in time to the Edo period.
