HANAHARU SHUZO CO.,LTD.

Hanaharushuzo

Sake brewery that has been loved for 300 years with the motto "Aizu's high-quality rice results in quality sake"

Founded in 1718, this company has been brewing sake for 300 years using rice and spring water from Aizu, a region with abundant natural resources.

The brewery was destroyed in the Boshin War (1869), which was famous in part for the Byakkotai, the teenage samurai of the Aizu Domain. Still, the brewery quickly rebuilt itself to regain a "brightness like flowers and peacefulness like spring," eventually changing its name to "Hanaharu."

The brewery's various organs work together to produce sake rooted in Aizu that will induce a tranquil state of mind "the more you drink" and "the more you get drunk."

Guided brewery tours are available with a reservation. Please get in touch with their office at least one week in advance to make a reservation. The minimum number of participants is one person.

The direct sales store "Kouzashi-gura" is open all year round. Tastings are also available, so be sure to find your favorite sake.
