KODAMA BREWING CO.,LTD

Kodamajozo

A brewery known for "Taiheizan," the famous sake made using the Akita Kimoto method

Kodama Brewery was established in 1879 and has been loved by the local community as a brewery for miso, soy sauce, and sake.

Surrounded by rice plantations and blessed with abundant raw materials, they honor traditional Japanese brewing methods.

While inheriting traditional techniques, they aim to brew sake utilizing new knowledge.

Following the motto of "brewing the spirit of Akita," they will continue to produce safe, reliable, and delicious food.

The old brewery, which dates back to the Meiji era (1868-1912), is made of brick and earthen walls. Visitors can experience the culture of ancient Japan during the brewery tour and enjoy shopping at the KooLab brewery store.

They also hold workshops on making miso soup balls to promote eating fermented foods.
