Takigawa Valley trail
Takigawa Valley, the secluded area of Abukuma
Takigawa Valley is a rare secluded area in Abukuma in Fukushima Prefecture with a series of forty-eight splendid waterfalls along a 3-kilometer walking path. It has also been selected as the tenth best trail in "Fukushima's best 50 trails."
The valley has beautiful waterfalls, huge strangely-shaped rocks, and densely growing old natural trees. It attracts visitors with its cherry blossoms and Asian fawn lilies in spring, fresh greenery in summer, and red and yellow hues in autumn. To preserve the environment, please do not bring pets into the valley.
Takigawa no Sato (rest area) is a popular spot in Takigawa, and is located at the end of Takigawa Valley.
