Hiraizumi Cultural History Museum

Head here before going to Chuson-ji Temple

This museum is located at the entrance to Chuson-ji Temple and introduces the prosperity of Hiraizumi, the golden Buddhist city, as well as Hiraizumi during the time of the Date Clan. Numerous valuable cultural properties are on display, including models of Motsuji Temple and Muryokoin Temple recreated based on academic research, excavated materials, drawings, and more.
