Sake Breweries in Hachinohe

Preserving the Nanbu Touji Sake Brewing Tradition

In the Hachinohe area, sake breweries are said to have been established around the late Edo period, when the Nanbu Toji clan began to actively brew sake.

In Hachinohe City, Hachinohe Sake Brewery was founded in 1775 and Hachitsuru (now Hachinohe Sake Brewery) in 1786. The brewery also offers sake brewery tours to familiarize visitors with sake.
