Themed on Showa-era (1926-1989) nostalgia and romanticism, this event is held every year in mid July at Kitakata City's Fureai Dori Shopping Street. 

Visitors are attracted to the colorful Tanabata decorations made by locals and a variety of themed events, such as museums, retro motor shows, old-fashioned games, fairs, haunted houses, and food stalls. 

The events can be enjoyed by both the generation that experienced the Showa era and those who were born afterward.
