Shibata Red Spider Lily Festival

More than 400,000 red spider lilies turn the slopes red.

Since 2013, Shibata Town has been hosting this flower event from summer to autumn every year.

More than 400,000 red spider lilies (Manjushage) planted in Funaoka Castle Ruins Park bloom like a carpet, delighting the eyes of all who see them.

You'll find a spot where you can see a cluster of red spider lilies in the shape of a "Red Fuji" and also rare white spider lilies.

At night, the flowers are lit up for a beautiful night scene, as if floating in the darkness.

The best time to visit is from mid- to late-September.
