Lake Numazawa(Kaneyama Town)

Lake Numazawa is a double caldera lake that was formed by a volcanic eruption about 5,600 years ago.

It is the only habitat in the prefecture for damselfish, which attracts many anglers during the season from April to September every year.

After June, when the water volume increases, visitors can enjoy bathing in the lake along with other facilities, such as a campground and a fairy museum in the vicinity.

The ""Lake Numazawa Water Festival"" is held every year on the first Saturday and Sunday of August, bringing many people to enjoy the waterfront events.
