Showa Daibutsu Seiryuji Temple

A vast sacred site located on the outskirts of Aomori City. Within its precincts sits the Showa Daibutsu, the tallest bronze statue of a seated Buddha in Japan (21.35 m), surpassing the Daibutsu in Nara.

 The five-story pagoda (39.25 m), the fourth tallest wooden pagoda in Japan after To-ji Temple in Kyoto, Kofuku-ji Temple in Nara, and Zentsu-ji Temple in Kagawa, as well as Kondo, Daishido, Kaisandodo, Shoin, and other buildings compete in the beauty of their grand and splendid architecture.
