From late April to late November, locals operate a morning market in the hot spring resort area that has become a special feature of Hijiori Onsen, as people come to enjoy the seasonal wild plants and vegetables as well as conversation with the locals. During the Sansai Food Festival, enjoy the special sansai (wild plant) dishes prepared by each ryokan (hot spring inn).
