View from Mt. Hakodate
The beauty of the “miraculous night view"
Hakodate's clean air, narrow topography, the sea on both sides, and the lights created by the people of Hakodate have earned it the nickname “Miracle Nightscape” and a three-star rating in the Michelin Green Guide Japon, a guidebook published in France.
The “Foggy Night View” is available only in early summer, while the “Fishing Fire Night View” can be enjoyed in summer and autumn, when it is combined with Hakodate's traditional fishing fires.
Daytime views are also recommended, as they are different from the night views and offer a more open and spectacular view of the four seasons.
