From spring to summer, see alpine flowers by trekking on routes for beginners.
In the autumn, enjoy stunning scenery created by foliage colors that also spread to the surrounding mountains. In the winter, see the magical world of rime ice here, considered one of the three best places for viewing rime ice in Japan. Mt. Moriyoshi is truly one of the leading places for enjoying the natural spectacle of Akita all year round.
In particular, in the winter, you’ll see rime ice right before your eyes when you get off the gondola. The gondola lets you enjoy this scenery conveniently, and is also family friendly. Guides will be available free of charge during the rime ice viewing period, so you can learn more about the rime ice from them.
The gondola lift will be running continuously and can be ridden at any time during operating hours. (Operating times are predetermined; please ask for more information. Please note that service may be suspended temporarily depending on weather conditions.)
