Nikaho Kogen (Nikaho Plateau)

Wide-open grasslands, numerous wind turbines, a scattering of large and small lakes and marshes, seasonal flowering plants, and jersey cows idly grazing. This idyllic scenery spreads across the hills at the northern foot of Mt. Chokai.
It is a place where a fresh breeze blows and beautiful views of Mt. Chokai and the Sea of Japan are available. Be moved by the scene of the setting sun's spotlight shining on the Sea of Japan.
The plateau is home to the Tsuchida Farm where you can enjoy the unique flavours of the farm, such as fresh milk, soft ice cream, sausages, and cheese-on-toast.
