Breakfast is a traditional Japanese vegetarian meal called shojin ryori (vegetarian cuisine).The experience includes “Shabutsu” (copying Buddha with a brush), “Prayer” (to achieve one's wishes and ward off bad luck) by the abbot, “Zazen” (Zen meditation), and “Goboku” (to purify one's mind), in which the abbot performs “Goboku” (ablution) to polish Buddha.Please enjoy a relaxing “slow temple life.
