Balloon flight experience at Juubunichi Mountain, famous for its sea of clouds

【Held on Sundays from June to December.】 This is a balloon flight experience at Jubunichi Mountain in Nanyo City, which commands a panoramic view of the Okitama Basin. On a clear day, you can see Yonezawa City, the countryside, and the 2,000-meter peaks surrounding the basin (the Iide Mountain Range, the Azuma Mountain Range, and the Asahi Mountain Range). In autumn, there are many days when a sea of clouds opens up. The sea of clouds seen from a balloon is a spectacular view of the sky that one should see at least once. The experience of balloon flight, in which the balloon is connected to the ground by a rope and soars to a height of about 15 to 20 meters, is truly an extraordinary experience. In addition to the “Boarding Only” option, we also offer a “Full Participation” option that includes preparation and cleanup.
■Difference between “Boarding Only” and “Full Participation Boarding Only” is a general balloon flight experience. You will be guided in the order in which you register on the day of the tour. The actual balloon ride takes about 5 minutes. After boarding, you are free to leave. Full Participation” is an option in which, in addition to the boarding experience, you will also participate with the pilot in everything from preparing the balloon itself to cleaning it up: you will work together to unfurl a large balloon weighing more than 200 kg, attach carabiners, set the gas, and even witness the most important test of the gas burner. The balloon can never be raised by a single person, so the team must work together to make it a success. Before the launch, you will be able to enter the colorful balloon. Enter the photogenic world inside the balloon. The course will take about 1~2 hours in total, including breaks along the way. If conditions are good, a second extra flight will be provided! Due to high volume of applications, the full participation option will be limited to the first 20 participants.
