This brewery was established around 1700. The current brewmaster is the 12th-generation owner of this historic brewery. In 1983, they formed the Takahatamachi Sakamai Kenkyukai (Sake Rice Research Association) in cooperation with local sake rice farmers since they believe that "sake brewing begins with the cultivation of sake rice." They were quick to take on the challenge of producing world-class sake from high-quality rice. The brewery offers guided tours of the facilities used for brewing sake.(Reservations must be made at least one day in advance.)You can also purchase sake at the direct sales shop located on the premises.
