Akita Inland Line (Kita -Akita City, Akita Prefecture)
This 94.2 km long local line runs through the inland area of Akita Prefecture between Takanosu Station (Kita- Akita City) and Kakunodate Station (Senboku City).
In the vicinity of the line are Kakunodate, known as Michinoku's “Little Kyoto,” and the Ani district, said to be the birthplace of the matagi culture, as well as a rich natural environment and the original landscape of Japan.
Along the route, rice field artwork is displayed from July to early September.
